These kayak trips are our most popular tours for a variety of reasons. The convenient location, perfect length of time, affordable prices, and diverse departure times all add up to a great day of sea kayaking in the San Juan Islands.
For your comfort and security we custom designed special sea kayak docks that make entering and exiting our kayaks almost effortless. The first few minutes of this kayak tour are in the bathtub-like conditions of the marina. This allows folks who have never been sea kayaking before to settle in and get comfortable in the kayak.
Most trips paddle out to 3 small islands nestled in Burrows Bay. When the conditions are right your guide may attempt a full circumnavigation of Burrows Island or Allan Island, showing you outstanding views of the San Juan Islands and Olympic Mountains.
There is something new around every corner on this kayaking tour. Our knowledgeable kayak guides are always on the lookout for seals, eagles, porpoise, and of course…Orca whales.
Although we pride ourselves on not making unreasonable claims in regards to sea kayaking with Orca whales, this trip presents great opportunities to see the whales, and many of the other creatures who call the San Juan Islands home.

Half Day Trips in Single (one-person) Kayaks
This trip is designed to appeal to kayakers, folks who are seriously thinking about becoming kayakers, and people who, well…just like a heightened sense of adventure. The itinerary is similar to our regular half day trip—we like to get our guests out to the three beautiful islands located in Burrows Bay. The twist is that everyone will be in a single (one-person) sea kayak, and we limit the group size to 5 people to maximize the personal attention that your guide will be able to give you.
