Meals—the most important part!
We take pride in providing delicious camp cuisine for our guests. To this end we use only the freshest available foods. As much as possible we shop for locally grown, and organic ingredients, and, when in season, all of your salads are fresh picked in the Anacortes Kayak Tours organic garden!
Whether we’re serving red-curry chicken and basil over a bed of Jasmine rice, Megan’s famous Bahn Mi sandwiches, or any of our other favorite kayak camping meals, all of them have been meticulously planned to ensure the best possible dining experience. We have found that the food is the one thing that you are guaranteed to remember for years to come, and we want you to remember us fondly!
For all of our multi-day trips we provide: breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as an assortment of snacks and hot drinks. Feel free to bring any of your favorite food items as well.
When you book a trip with us we will supply you with a form to let us know if you have any dietary restrictions that we need to know about. We can accommodate vegans, orthodox kosher, vegetarians, gluten intolerant, and meat loving groups. Just let us know!
Although we cannot provide alcohol, we do allow a limited quantity of beer or wine to be brought along by our guests (of legal age) to be enjoyed with dinner. No paddling will take place after the first drink is opened, however. We reserve the right to discontinue this policy at any time if anyone acts irresponsibly.
All of our guides possess a Washington State Food Handlers Permit. Our food preparation, and storage, is done in accordance with Washington State Health Department standards, and in a Health Department inspected and approved facility. (The other guys? Better Ask!)
